Guerlain announces new Cherry Blossom
by Verano Fragrance about 3 years ago
Guerlain takes us on a journey to the heart of blooming cherry blossoms and has announced the launch of the Cherry Blossom fragrance for 2023. In addition to the floral-fruity eau de toilette, there will also be a cosmetics line with the same name.
The collection was adorned by Japanese embroiderer Kyoko Sugiura, who lives and works in France. This is not the first collaboration between the house and the artist. In early February 2022, the perfume house introduced the Cherry Blossom Millésime version, which was also embellished by Sugiura. And this year, Guerlain presented a new version of the fragrance, adorned by the artisans of Maison Vermont.

Cherry Blossom 2023 EDP features a delicate and refreshing opening. The composition includes floral and fruity accords: cherry, watermelon, pear, and bergamot.
The original Cherry Blossom perfume was released in 2000. Its composition, centred around cherry blossoms with added notes of green tea and almond, was created by the fourth-generation perfumer Jean-Paul Guerlain, who was inspired by "hanami" - the Japanese traditional custom of enjoying the transient beauty of flowers.
Paying tribute to the Japanese cherry blossom, Guerlain also presents a limited edition series of their famous Rouge G lipstick with cherry blossom motifs. The shade 63 Rosy Bloom features a glossy satin pink hue, perfect for spring. The Cherry Blossom case, released in a limited edition, is adorned with a print of pink petals with a touch of gold on white leather, giving it a romantic and delicate look. The Ombres G eyeshadow palette in shade 530 Majestic Rose is designed to create the perfect eye makeup. Inside are four shades inspired by cherry blossoms: a satin finish beige-brown, a matte plum, a shimmering powdery pink, and a medium pink reminiscent of blooming cherry blossoms.
