Jo Malone has presented "Mad About The Rose"

British beauty brand Jo Malone London introduces a limited-edition collection called "Mad About The Rose." As the name suggests, the collection features three fragrances dedicated to the rose accord: Rose Water & Vanilla Cologne, Red Roses Cologne, and Rose Blush Cologne.

"Queen of the greenhouse, the rose is timeless and recognized as a perfume classic. Discover some of our blooms. Fill the air with a burst of freshly cut flowers. Our editions are inspired by a luxurious blend of exquisite blooms," states Jo Malone.

The floral-gourmand cologne Rose Water & Vanilla resembles either a refreshing lemonade or a jelly with pink petals, bergamot, and lychee. The other two compositions turned out to be more traditional. The scent resembling a bouquet of freshly cut garden roses is the Red Roses cologne, in which the flower harmonizes with powdery violet. Rose Blush is a watercolour fragrance of rose petals and white musk.

Rose is one of the most popular flowers in perfumery. It is featured in countless rose-based compositions and often accompanies oriental fragrances. It has gained recognition as an important element in masculine compositions, particularly in Arab perfumery. Lately, perfumers have been increasingly trying to complement this flower with unexpected companions such as salt, cucumber, tobacco, moss, and more.
