Rémy Cointreau, a producer of cognac, liqueurs, gin and other spirits, has launched a fragrance brand called Maison Psyché. According to the authors of the project, by combining their experience, they will open new horizons and uncharted fragrance territories.

"Maison Psyché is built on the belief that the most outstanding creations are born when exceptional terroirs are combined with the alchemy of masters and experts in their field," the statement says.

Maison Psyché is led by Rémy Martin's head winemaker Baptiste Loiseau and the Principal Perfumer of Firmenich, Sophie Labbé. With around 120 fragrances in her portfolio, Sophie Labbé is the creator of many popular formulas and innovative compositions. Her creations adorn the collections of houses like Bvlgari, Guerlain, Floraiku, Memo Paris, Salvatore Ferragamo, and Yves Saint Laurent.

"Maison Psyché was born from our shared love for terroirs and decades of experience, both in cognac-making and in cultivating and selecting the finest natural raw materials. It is precisely such raw materials that form the basis of the five exceptional olfactory creations that make up Maison Psyché's first collection. We composed these fragrance formulas and allowed them to mature in our tonnelets (small oak casks) in the cellars of Maison Rémy Martin in Cognac, so that they would acquire new notes and broaden their range. Time has worked its magic, and the result is as impressive as with our eaux de vie," say Loiseau and Labbé.

Maison Psyché's first collection consists of five fragrances that were aged in oak casks. The bottles are made of Baccarat crystal and decorated with gold. The house will also release a few limited editions, adorned with diamonds, for the most discerning customers who seek the utmost luxury. The fragrances will be sold exclusively in France. Each bottle costs 5,500 euros.
