Sonic Flower by Room 1015 is dedicated to rock band leaders
by Verano Fragrance almost 3 years ago
Professional musician and founder of the Room 1015 brand, Michael Partouche aka Dr. Mike, has dedicated his brand and perfume compositions to music and everything related to it. The 2023 spring release Sonic Flower tells the story of famous band female leaders who changed the rock music format and our perception.

The composition was created by Jérôme Epinette, a Robertet perfumer and the creator of most fragrances for brands like Byredo, Atelier Cologne, and Vilhelm Parfumerie. Epinette is also credited as the author of fragrances for the small Swedish brand Björk & Berries and the larger brand &Other Stories. His debut works emerged in the early 2000s, creating fragrances for L'Occitane en Provence, Lulu Castagnette, Jovoy Paris, and Cereus. In 2008, his collaboration with Ben Gorham, the creative director of Byredo, began. A year later, Bal d'Afrique was released – the brand's most iconic composition and the first personal fragrance jointly created by Epinette and Gorham. Later, the perfumer became the creator of La Tulipe, Unnamed, 1996 Inez & Vinoodh and others. In 2010, Trefle Pur, the first work by Epinette for the French brand Atelier Cologne, saw the light. Over the following years, hits like Cedre Atlas, Oud Saphir, Santal Carmin, Clementine California, and Bergamote Soleil were released, and in total, the perfumer has crafted around thirty fragrances for the brand. Jérôme is known for his love of exceptionally high-quality natural ingredients and how elegantly he mixes them with synthetic elements. He has a recognizable "signature": a combination of patchouli and sandalwood in various compositions.
Sonic Flower tells the story of frontwomen, women who changed our perception of rock music. The sensations of "stage and spotlight, waiting for their star," are represented by notes of pink pepper, iris, jasmine, and leather. They are complemented by carrot seeds, cashmeran, ambroxan and musk.

Room 1015 was founded by former pharmacist and rock musician Michael Partouche in 2015. The brand was named after a room number at the Hyatt hotel in Los Angeles, where legendary rock bands like The Rolling Stones and The Who used to host parties. After meeting Amélie Bourgeois and Anne-Sophie Behaghel from the Flair laboratory, he decided to launch his own perfume brand. It were Amélie and Anne-Sophie who worked on his debut compositions: Blomma Cult, Electric Wood, and Atramental.
